Specialties

Medical Billing
The world of medical billing is opaque and confusing to the uninitiated. Even those in the know often puzzle over their own bills. As an experienced clinician, former owner of a medical billing agency, chief executive of medical bill auditing companies, consultant and advisor to government agencies and insurers, Dr. Friedman is uniquely qualified to examine medical bills from the vantage point of deep understanding that comes from experience in every aspect of the field.

Medical Coding
CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, DRGs, J codes. Medical coding is an alphabet soup of alpha-numeric dialects that facilitate the conversation between doctors and computers. As with many such disciplines, the devil is in the details. This case, however, can be particularly devilish and is rife not only with inaccuracy, but outright abuse and even fraud. In order to understand the narrative you must speak the language.

Consulting
Consulting is the business of giving expert advice. The point of consulting is to explain data and events, raise and evaluate actionable options, and provide the client with valuable insights into the past and/or future. Dr. Friedman is skilled and experienced in providing consulting to patients, clients and healthcare organizations.
